Complaint about use of business lounge or business lounge coupons

Good morning My name is Dr. Tarek R El-Leithy, Professor of Urology, Cairo Egypt. I'm a Carlson Club member # 601599****495108 (Concierge level), I'm used to stay in Radisson blu group of hotels since years. I am a regular customer at Radisson blu hotel in Doha, Qatar since many years, I always got upgraded to a suite level of stay (though my booking is originally a superior room), together with my concierge membership and upgrade suite type of room stay, I was entitled to use business lounge facility in the last 10 years or so. This year, I checked in almost a couple of weeks ago in Radisson blu, Doha, Qatar, I checked with Reception people about Business lounge coupons as business lounge is temporarily closed, but they denied giving them to me despite explaining to them that I was allowed this privilege in the last years under the SAME circumstances. As a regular in Radisson group of hotels and assuring my loyalty to you, I am sure that my request will be responded to which I'll appreciate much. Hope to hear from you soon. Can never get a deal with earned points!

When we first opened a Club Carlson Card ten years ago, the point earnings and savings at hotels were great. We stay at the same hotel every year for a week and earn thousands of points, in the hopes that our next stay might be at greater savings?? In the last 4-5 years every time I try to book a reservation using points I've earned, they never have a better deal. Recently, I tried using my reward points recently and the customer service representative informed me that we could get one type of room for two nights at a rate higher than the hotel, and then during the same stay, they would switch me to another room at a higher rate than quoted by this hotel?? The average nightly rate with my Club Carlson points was going to be $174 per night, my rate calling the hotel directly was $124 per night? How is Club Carlson rewarding me with their reward points of which we have 26,000 that we can't really use?

Very unprofessional behaviour in Hospitality industry

I was at Radisson Shimla last week and was very disappointed with the state of affairs there and a very lax attitude of the management. We had given a call directly to Radisson Shimla after getting their number from their official website, our call was transferred to reservations as told by the person who took our call and were told that some one will get in touch with us shortly. After few minutes we get a call from a person named Rahul (Virat) phone number 0906880**** claiming that he is speaking from Radisson and will send me the details of the room category available, tariff and pics of the rooms. He sends everything to us gives us a deal and kept on asking for our credit card details. We paid the advance amount but something prevented me from sharing my credit card details. When we finally landed up there and paid the whole amount in advance we were taken in a room which was short of what was promised to us. The person who was escorting us told us that this is what is available and what has been offered to us does not exist here. Then we showed him the mail which had sofa *** bed written there but he says it is not available. I insisted that I would like to meet the GM and want to file a written complaint but no meeting was arranged with the GM. The guy then tells me that these are sales people and promise something but deliver something. We waited for half an hour and again called the reception for an update. After few minutes another guy comes and inform us that the person who has given us this deal is a travel agent and has nothing to do with Radisson. I was shocked and told him that this is my third visit to this place and every time I book my rooms by calling Radisson directly and I don’t have a travel agent. But it fell to deaf ears. I asked that I would like to check out as I am feeling cheated and somehow lost faith in this hotel. I was told that they would refund me the money and I can check out tomorrow morning. The refund was made and I checked out next day and stayed at some other hotel in Shimla for next three days. The questions which are bothering me are the following: - 1.Why no one from the hotel is interested to find out as to how the call got transferred to an agent.? 2.Who all are involved in this nexus ? 3.Why no service recovery was done rather they were happy that the guests are checking out and they were OK with the refund. 4.Why no one senior met the guests and felt empathetic? 5.The agent has two names Virat and Rahul? Isn’t this a racket. 6.Why the agent has not made me the refund fully? 7.Now that this is being told to the Hotel authorities what action will they take or will ignore it once again. As i have already said, i am the holder of the Conciege Card, on my arrival, my honesty was questioned, i might have been a person staying for the very first time at a Carlson Hotel, the way i was met and greeted, Welcome i do not think so, happens again and i will return the card, and will stay somewhere else, not easy to say that, having been a loyal user of your hotels, small things go a long way in my book, rudeness don´t !! As for being treated as a special guest, at no time did i feel one, thought i had good contact with this hotel, not on the 30th Nov 2017 Kind regards, Michael Bryan King

Over 500,000 Radisson points expired without warning.

I accumulated over 500,000 points under Radisson within the last several years. Periodically, I would receive emails with the latest update on my point status. That also appears to be SOP with Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Priority, United, American and British Airways, among others. However, after the formation of Club Carlson I never received any warning of the approach of the expiration. Granted, if I had traveled as frequently as I had in the past I would have noticed. But, the downturn in the economy greatly affected the company's travel budget. A couple of weeks ago I logged into Club Carlson; I was preparing for a trip and was considering booking a room at a Radisson. After realizing that my account point status was zero, I contacted a Club Carlson service rep. I was told I would have to write a letter in order to contest the loss of points. I wrote a letter and received the following response: DEAR MR. XXXXX, THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE IN CONCERNING(sp) THE POINTS IN YOUR ACCOUNT. HOWEVER(sp) DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT HAS BEEN OVER 6(sp) MONTHS SINCE THE POINTS EXPIRED(sp) WE ARE UNABLE TO RETURN THE POINTS TO YOUR ACCOUNT. WE SINCERELY HOPE THAT YOU CONTINUE TO CHOOSE CARLSON HOTELS FOR YOUR FUTURE STAYS(sp). SINCERELY, JAYE KIESELHORST Naturally, I'm angry due to the abrupt loss of points. But, I'm also irritated that my letter and issue was appointed to an obviously low ranked employee (notice the grammar mistakes and lack of empathy). It's one thing to lose a few points and have Ms. Kieselhorst address the issue. It's quite another to lose over 500,000 points and receive the same robotic response. I've tried to find contact info for the corporate office with negative results. I enjoyed the Radisson experience; I don't enjoy the Club Carlson treatment. And they 'sincerely hope' that I will stay in a Club Carlson Hotel?!?? Beware. #601599****956061

Club Carlson sent me to collections and I had no bill

I am trying to close my Club Carlson card. I asked them to reverse the annual fee. They got confused. Then they sent me to collections after I gave them the $70 for the annual fee. I have NEVER in my life paid a card late or been sent to collections. My credit rating has plummeted 100 points. No one can talk to my. There are NO, not one single charge on this card. Carlson customer service cannot help me. They think the collection agency wrote my number down wrong. So instead of calling me to tell me it would not go thru they add more fees and never notify me. Thanks Carlson tor destroying a credit rating that took me so many years to build.
